General Information
For the last number of years, the Myer ski club has had approximately 80 students and 7 or 8 teachers involved. All Myer students are welcome to join; whether you are just new and in grade 9 or you are about to graduate. No prior ski experience is necessary. We provide ski lessons for beginners every week and there are hills to suit all levels of skiiers.
Details
- The ski season begins as soon as there is enough snow. Usually we start the week after the Christmas break. However, some years, when the weather has been good, we have gone the week prior to the break.
- We ski 6 Wednesday evenings; leaving the school by coach bus at 2:45 p.m. and returning at 11:30 p.m.
- The trips are chaperoned primarily by teachers at Myer. Some years we have also had some parent volunteers.
- This year, our projected dates are ... We do not ski the day before winter exams and we usually change the trip at the end of exams (between semesters) to a day trip.
- If the weather does not cooperate on one of the dates above, we simply add another week at the end of the season.

Cost
- The base cost of $250 covers 6 bus trips, 6 lift tickets and 6 lessons as well as out of province medical coverage
- If you need to rent skis or a snowboard, there is an additional cost of ... Some students chose to rent their skis or boards at one of the local Niagara ski stores.
