Doug Austin Award
The Doug Austin Award is a special award presented each year by the Niagara Falls Review. Doug Austin was a sports editor at the Niagara Falls Review for over 30 years. The award was started in 1982, prior to his death, and is presented to a person in the community for dedicated volunteer service and accomplishments in sports. Please note: this award is administered by the Niagara Falls Review and the City does not accept nominations for this award.
Winning the coveted Doug Austin Award was Dave Buchanan, the head coach of the 2-time Defending OFSAA Bowl Champions in Senior Boys Football. He has turned this program around from a grass roots perspective and the success of the football program at Myer is shining example of the many hours he has devoted to students and the game.
Great job Myer Community! Keep up the great work!
